The Slot Machine Whisperer

There is an urban legend out there regarding a man who could go into any Betting house in any city, walk right up to a slot machine game, whisper some thing into its slot, tug on its arm and out would pour a jackpot.

He was recognized as the Slot machine Whisperer.

Well, I've certainly not met anybody like that. But in nearly each Gambling den I've been I've heard folks speak of this legend.

I have observed persons speak to slot machines. I've viewed folks yell at slots. I've seen persons smack slot machines. Except I have in no way witnessed them win the jackpot after doing such a thing.

The first time I heard about the Slot machine game Whisperer I was in a Reno Gambling establishment. I was wagering black jack when I heard a thrill go through the Gambling den. The player next to me, his name was Jon, informed me that the buzz was because a person had seen the Slot machine Whisperer enter the Gambling house. He then proceeded to let me know about the legend of the Whisperer and how he had mastered slot machines.

Shortly following that there were security guards running all around. And they were all headed straight to the slot machine area.

A couple of minutes later we saw security dragging a man out of the slot pit. The word was that he was not the Slot machine game Whisperer but some thief who was attempting to use an electric device to defraud the slots.

I have never run into the Slot machine Whisperer. I don't know if he even exists. I believe of him as a city story or a myth a few slot machine player dreamed up.

Except the thought of a person who can master slot machine games just by speaking softly to them is sort of enchanting. Like a current day Gambling establishment Robin Hood.
